Children still have difficulties with language. It is because the way children speak could be clearer. This research aims to create a storytelling method help of straw dolls improve children's receptive language development. type an R&D method. The subjects consisted 2 media experts and one material expert, 45 kindergarten children. data collection techniques were interviews, observations, questionnaires, documentation. analysis technique used quantitative analysis. results showed validity test n = 10 significance score 5% r table 0.632. obtained declared valid count> table. validation from average 83.75% 93.75%, including in very feasible category. In contrast, linguists scored four which was good Data effectiveness shown N-Gain calculation field test, as experimental class post-test 80.67 80.33, respectively. for control class, result 56.00. conclusion shows that development methods skills effective improving skills. implications this are expected teachers through learning media.
